Sidekick® constant pressure pump
The Sidekick pump kit for gases and vapours is available in two models; standard and intrinsically safe (ATEX2) versions. Both models offer low flow3 (5 to 750 mL/min) and high flow (750 to 3000 mL/min) sampling. (Note that high flow sampling is not normally compatible with pumped sampling onto standard TD tubes.)
At low flow rates the pump operates under conditions of constant pressure and will therefore require re-calibrating each time a sorbent tube with different back pressure/impedance is used.
Sidekick pump kits supplied by Markes International also include a special ‘high impedance adaptor’ which ensures compatibility with all TD sorbent tubes - including SafeLok tubes packed with three beds of fine mesh carbon sorbents.
