Sorbents
Markes offers a wide range of bulk sorbents for those customers who wish to pack their own tubes or who have other requirements for sorbents.
Careful selection of sorbent type and mesh size is critical for the successful outcome of any thermal desorption application. Note that fine mesh sizes lead to high impedance/back pressure.
Attention must be paid to the thermal characteristics of particular sorbents when selecting and conditioning them. This is particularly important when packing multi-bed sorbent tubes.
