TAG^SCRIBE

Information is entered onto the tube tags via a PC controlled battery-operated TAG^SCRIBE.

The same device is used in the laboratory prior to despatch, to enter sample collection information in the field and to retrieve information from the tags once the tubes are returned to the laboratory after monitoring.

TAG^SCRIBE includes:

• TAG^SCRIBE read/write device
• TAG^SCRIBE software CD
• Cable assy, lead, null modem - serial cable for connection between TAG^{SCRIBE device and PC (requires spare serial port on the PC)}
• 9V battery

Requires (but does not include):

• PC running current version of Microsoft Windows software
• One free serial port on the PC

Note 1. If there is no available serial port on the PC, TAG^SCRIBE may be connected via a USB port using a USB-serial port cable (not compatible with Windows NT) or alternatively (for desktop PCs running Windows 2000 or XP) a PCI serial port card may be used
